“Would you like to go to the prom with me?” Jake asked Christina.

“I would be happy to.” she replied and kissed him on his right cheek. Prom and graduation were a month away but Jake's problems were not going away. On the bus ride home again, Dylan sitting in the front of the bus so the monitor could keep an eye on him continued his antics and saying insults to jake. The bus mates heard the back and forth between Jake and Dylan had gotten worse, leading Dylan to punch Jake, who struck back giving a few cuts on Dylan's face. Julian jumped in to help Jake fight him off. The bus monitor witnessed the fight and sent Dylan back to the front, giving him another write up. He had two write ups so far on the bus and was close to getting a third one. Word about the fight spread to the principal before Jake could say anything.

The day after the third fight, the principal called Dylan and his mother in the office to remind them if Dylan got into another fight and received a third and final write up, he would either repeat twelfth grade or be expelled altogether. The two write ups, nine trips to detention and two out of school suspension were already put into his record and he almost reached the limit. Maria was not happy with Dylan after learning more about this. He finally saw how upset she was and he realized how slim his chances of graduating were. So he agreed with the principal about not having any more problems in school and the bus for the time being.

After all of that hard work and having to deal with Dylan, Jake finally went to the dance with Christina. Dylan was still permitted to go to the dance as long he did not fight with anyone, especially Jake. At the dance Jake met up with Christina. They were dancing with each other and shared a kiss. The night before the graduation, Jake went to a pre-graduation party at a close friend’s house. The next morning it was the day of the graduation. Wearing a cap and gown, Jake went on stage with Julian shaking hands with the principal and received their diplomas. Jake and Julian see that Dylan had also received his too. They were surprised that he would after everything that happened that whole year. A few hours after the ceremony, a small party was going on at the Warren household. Jake and Julian had gotten a large chocolate cake and some boxes of pizza for their party. Most of their classmates had attended with the exception of Dylan. They saw that it was for the better since he had caused problems for everyone and if he had shown up, the party would not have gone well.

Jake sees Christina enter the party and becomes excited to see her arrive. She brought Nicole with her and they approached the brothers with hugs. The principal came to congratulate them too.

“Congratulations son. You made it.” the principal said to Jake, shaking hands. A couple of years later, Jake and Christina were together and he became ready to propose to her. With the advice of Julian and the assistance of Alice, Jake buys a ring and presents it to Christina, who is surprised at the unexpected news and responses yes. A few months later, everyone from Jake’s and Christina’s families arrive to celebrate the big day for them. The two said their vows with a reverend present and Christina tosses a bouquet to Nicole. Then they see someone they did not expect to see, Dylan. However he was much different than what he was before. He had taken some classes and had wanted to apologize for everything. They had forgave him and went to the wedding reception.

What a great ending and it is nice that Dylan grew up in many ways. Good job.
