Self Care Hobbies And Life
How Is Self -Care Part Of Hobbies And Life
When we think about hobbies do we automatically think self-care why or why not? Are hobbies and self-care one in the same? Well let’s think about this for a moment, when we talk about our hobbies we aren’t usually talking about the self-care that we do, we could be to some extent but not usually. Self-care is just something we do to relax ourselves in the form of something we enjoy, a hobby is more something that we do that we enjoy. When we think of self-care for ourselves and hobbies for ourselves what comes to mind? Is it all about going out and getting our nails or hair done that we consider self-care or is it, reading a book or watching a television show? Now I know I probably listed a hobby or two there, but that’s the point some self-care things that we do are hobbies or can be hobbies too. This is how life, hobbies and self-care can be one in the same. Now it might not be that way for everyone but for some people that is how it is.
Hobbies and self-care can be one in the same depending on the person doing it and what they consider to be self-care for themselves and what they consider to be one of their hobbies. This could mean, re-organizing a drawer or a closet or, cooking, or reading the list can go on and on. Yet it could be completely different for other people. For example I don’t find cooking therapeutic or even remotely a form of self-care, but organizing I am finding to be very relaxing and rewarding all at the same time. Now I was never like this, but just as the year was ending last year I began doing this, and felt really good afterwards, I actually just finished my room in January. Yes it took me until January to get my one big thing of self-care done, but it was a big project and I did it little by little. I am now finished for the most part at least and feel so good about it. So yes I considered my organizing a form of self care and loved it. Do you find organizing your things to be a form of self-care for yourself?
Life is always changing, which means our forms of self-care and hobbies are too. At least our self -care is for the most part, our hobbies usually stay the same or are quite similar if we do change them up. Some people enjoy doing outdoorsy things as hobbies even in the winter, and shopping for some sort of self-care, it really just depends on who you ask. Myself for example, I enjoy cleaning things out and reorganizing things as a form of self-care. For myself at least I have begun to enjoy it since I started doing it over the last two months. I enjoy reading, or watching television as a hobby in the winter of course. In the summer my hobbies differ from getting active outside to swinging on the swing and spending as much time outside as possible. Can self-care and hobbies change with the world's seasons? Now I know people are probably saying well, yes, they can because us as people change with the seasons, so why can’t our hobbies and self-care? As I mentioned above my-self care and hobbies change when the weather is warmer versus when the weather is cooler.
The question is how is self-care a part of your hobbies and life? Have you ever thought about that, do you just do self-care because you know you need some of your time or do you do it as a part of the way you live life? What I mean by that, is doing something for yourself monthly at least? For example, getting your nails done. Now I am not the type of person to get my nails done monthly, but I am one to read daily or even weekly and that is what I consider a form of self-care for myself and I listen to music daily so that is what I consider to be a form of daily self-care for myself. Reading is more of a hobby for myself, but I consider it to be a form of self-care too. Everyone sometimes considers some of their hobbies to be a form of self care don’t they? I feel as though they do what do you think? Can hobbies and self-care be one in the same if that is what a person wants, yes it can. This all depends on the person and what they consider to be a hobby and self-care for themselves.
Self-care is a part of hobbies and life, because if we didn’t have self-care or hobbies we would never relax. When we don’t relax in some way, we are always working or in constant motion and that is not good for us. We should stop and relax at least a little bit in life. So that is why hobbies are great things to put in life so that we are still doing something but the things we are doing are relaxing for ourselves. Now I know some people may say that cleaning up things wouldn’t be relaxing or therapeutic but when you only do it once in a while it can be, and I only do it once in a while so that is why I feel as though it is a part of self-care for myself. The way a person lives life is the way they feel that the things they do in their lives get accomplished. This can be in the form of self-care that they enjoy and or the hobbies that they do.
Now we all know that life is all made up of hobbies that turn into other things, like jobs and such. Can self-care be in that category? Well not really, unless you can make what you do for self-care a job for yourself, but then it isn’t selfcare anymore. So that is the one thing that can’t really be a job, not unless someone really wants it, but I am thinking that most people want self care to be self care and not a job of some sort, like hobbies can turn into. Self care is a way for a person to relax and clear their minds. Like getting a massage or going on a long walk with themselves or even friends sometimes it all depends on the person and how they like to get their self-care in. I like to do things on my own, for the most part like re-organizing because if it is my stuff I know if I want to keep it or not, and I am not persuaded to get rid or keep something that I really won’t use or want anymore. I am in control when I clean out things myself and that is the way I like it. Some people might like the help, and sometimes I do but this time around I really did enjoy doing it alone. Sure it took a few weeks but that really didn’t matter to me, because I did it little by little and didn’t overwhelm myself.
Self-care, hobbies and life are what makes life move smoothly. At least it does for me, I try to work for at least five days a week, or even just three depending on what I can get done in the three means I either work only the three days or five days. I try to add in self-care a little bit daily because it just helps me wind down from the work day that I have had. What about you? Do you try to add self-care into your life daily? Or do you just do it every few weeks or even just once a month? Do you do self-care as much as you do hobbies in your life? Have you ever thought about the amount of time you have spent on each? I have never thought about it, but now I am going too and see what happens.
Life is not all supposed to be work, we are supposed to have a work life balance, which means work, and doing hobbies in between there. So when we work and do hobbies that include self-care, in the forms that the person doing it enjoys, reading, exercising and so many other things. The same thing goes for the hobbies that we do too. When we do these things for ourselves, that is what makes us unique to one another. This means that life, self-care and hobbies are things that we all should do for ourselves to give ourselves a break from the everyday grind and to make ourselves happy in any way that works for us. Our happiness is key to a long healthy life, for us no matter what happiness looks like for us. Some of us might feel happy when they are going through their things and getting rid of the stuff that they don’t want, and others might be happy just relaxing reading a book or in front of the television. We are all different this means our happiness is different too which is also a form of self-care and hobbies. At least it is to me, is it that way for you?
How is self care a part of hobbies and life, well that is the million dollar question. With a number of different answers because each person and the way they live their life is different from someone else’s. Sometimes self-care is just drinking a hot cup of coffee, alone, yet for someone else it might be going out with friends for coffee. Self -care and hobbies are a way that people relax and regroup for themselves, which means the two things can be one in the same if people want it to be. Yet it can be different too, that just depends on the person doing the living or the self-care and even the hobbies that the people enjoy.
Self-care and hobbies are what makes life what it is. It is what makes life interesting and it is the thing that keeps people grounded. That is the way I look at it anyway, what about you? Do you look at it this way, I love doing self-care things at least once a day or even just one day a week and the same goes for hobbies, so that I can relax my mind and body all at the same time. If I do them together that is. Which I normally do because it is just easier for me, what about you? Self-care and hobbies can be one in the same because they work so well together. So put your self-care and hobbies together and see what happens for it, and the way that you live your life through the self-care things you do and the hobbies you do too.
Self- care and hobbies are great for everyone, these things give people purpose in life. They also help people relax too, and give people variety in life. Which is why the two things work so well together. This is also probably why the two things are usually done together too. Why do you think that selfcare and hobbies can be a part of life for you and the people around you? Have you ever thought of it that way, I have, because the more self -care and hobbies I do in my life the better I feel and the happier i am which means the nicer I am to the people around me. What about you have you ever thought about that way?
