Raya and the Last Lie
The dragon never left. It changed shape.
By GoldenSpeechPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

After the dragons vanished, one remained — hidden inside a child born under the falling rain. As Raya grew old, she realized her people’s peace wasn’t real; it was built on the dragon’s sacrifice.
When she died, the rivers turned to glass. On their surface appeared the reflection of a woman and a dragon, merging — smiling.
Every year since, the storms return, whispering, “Unity was never real — only love was.”
