On Behalf Of All The Neil Perrys Of The World

is it really worth it ?

By Daisy EvermorePublished 3 months ago 2 min read

I often wonder—how many 90-year-olds can truly look back and say: “I didn’t survive life… I actually lived it”? Have you ever stood at a crossroad where a choice was inevitable? Did you freeze ? Did you follow in the footsteps of the dynastic plan ? — Or did you throw a fire… and danced with the flames? Well . I have ..

Quick, quick. Tell me something awful like you are a poet trapped inside the body of a finance guy .. that was how the magnificent Taylor Swift chose to open her song " I hate it here " / those were the opening words of the magnificent Taylor Swift's song "I hate it here " . I wonder how many of us humans are something they never fully got to be and probably never going to . "trapped" somewhere between what we're meant to be and what we're told to . When you spend a lifetime or even a month worth of a lifetime figuring out who you are , what is it that you want with this life , in other words they say your purpose ? your grand call ? WHAT YOU WERE MADE TO BECOME ? Avicii once said "all this time I was finding myself and I didn't know I was lost " can you go years and years thinking you are where you should be when in fact you're miles of light years away ? how would u ever know ? would it be too late when you finally rub your eyes open and see the truth for yourself ? .. and the hard deal is , is it worth losing everything else ? .. breaking some hearts in the process ? is a dream, a vision, an idea and a heart that beats solely for it enough to blindly follow ? John Keating believed it was , so did the dead poets . They could have bet on a star and call it a night but they didn't , they saw a life worth every sacrifice and they made it happen or at least some of them tried .. is knowing you're wasting your life in misery disguised as the right thing to do and slowly watch it happen the biggest crime one can inflect ? On behalf of all the Neil Perrys of the world I wholeheartedly believe that any price you pay is too little in exchange for the utter freedom of living a life where your soul is allowed to breathe just as much as your lungs .. I don't care how late it is , I don't care if it's apparently the wrong thing to do .. and I certainly don't care if that's gonna seem like quitting or failing to some , cause quite opposite to what everyone might think .. Throwing away everything you know, everything you may have worked on a lot everything that on paper is so supposed to be and taking off just for the sake of finding somewhere where you can finally belong is the bravest boldest most valiant thing a person can do ..
