Nicolo Magalona is well known as the son of famous late actor and rapper Francis Magalona who is regarded as an influential figure in the Pinoy hip-hop industry. He had been a host on MTV Asai and Channel V Philippines. He was a host on the noontime television show Eat Bulaga!
Francis Magalona was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on 8 August 2008 and on 6 March 2009, he succumbed to multiple organ failure. He underwent several chemotherapy but he couldn’t be survived and passed away on 6 March 2009 at the age of 44.
