He wants desperately to clarify that he isn't gay, that his actions the previous evening were born of mere curiosity. But how can he broach the subject when his companion seems determined to pretend nothing happened? To insist on explaining would only make him appear defensive, as though trying to cover up the obvious. Yet allowing such a misunderstanding to persist feels equally intolerable. Adding to his frustration is his roommate's inexplicably cheerful demeanor - a constant smile plays across his face as though he's won a fortune. Could he be laughing at the situation?
