Omar moved down to another state (Brooke city) to start afresh and it was hell but it was worth every minute of the time spent. He settled down in the new state and also got an apartment to stay thou it was far from being his taste but then he had to manage as he was in disguise to find his soul mate.

After much hassle of getting to be familiar with the new place, he later went on a job hunt as a cook and he got a place so he applied. He received a call to come for the interview the following day and he went there as an average man with just simple English knowledge, in a sense that he couldn’t speak well. He went to the house and was attended to by the daughter of the household as she looked at him in disgust and instructed him to wait outside that she was coming back.

Omar waited for her for about 30 minutes before she came back with her mum the madam of the house.

“He greeted her; “Good morning Madame”

“How are you son, she replied”

Many thoughts were running through Omar’s head already that this Madame would be a nice Madame and the saying that “an apple does not fall far from its tree” might be a different case in this household.

“I’m fine thank you ma”, Omar said as she offered him a sit.

“what is your name”,

“My name is Omar and suddenly her daughter sitting behind her burst into laughter that “Omar” for someone like him”?

“It doesn’t suit you she said; I smiled and concentrated on the Madame telling me not to pay her any attention”

“Where are you from she asked”?

“I am from that state (Brooke city) ma he answered”.

“Have you worked as a cook or a maid before and do you cook well caused that is your main job here”;

“I am a very good cook that my mum taught me well and I have job experiences as a cook”.

They then concluded that he was going to earn 80,000 per month.

“He said he was happy with that amount that in fact he wasn’t paid that much in his previous job but deep down in his thoughts he was like are you joking like what would 80,000 do for me if truly I needed the job”.

Omar was then told he will begin the work the next month that they had some things to be done in the house before he could start working and he said it was fine by him as he needed more time to familiarize myself with this whole new phase of his life.

He went back to his apartment and while getting some things in place he was hungry and he had basically an empty apartment as he hasn’t stocked any food in the house.

He picked up his shirt and headed outside to get something to eat.

While walking down the street he asked around where he could get a restaurant or any fast food place to get something to eat, so he got a description and on getting to the place it wasn’t really up to his standard as he was used to the 5 star luxuries but he didn’t have much of a choice. While buying the food, there was a lady standing next to him and she was so pretty he couldn’t take his eyes off her all through, and he made it obvious he was staring at her when she caught him staring, he immediately retracted his eyes and smiled. He got the food and ordered for an extra plate to take home with him.

When he got home he couldn’t stop thinking about the lady and blamed himself for not at least getting to say hi or getting her name. After eating he decided to call his mum to say hi to her and that she shouldn’t worry about him, that I was doing just fine. So they spoke and he went to bed because it was late already. He woke up the next morning to a very fascinating neighborhood, everybody was awake and outside, some exercising, some just playing, children as play and doing their things as if they had no worries and he felt elated to be in the neighborhood. He got his day started, replied a few emails, attended to some office work and he was done in no time.

He was starting to feel hungry and he planned to go groceries shopping later in the day or else i would starve to death with no one coming to his rescue. He took his bath, dressed up and headed to the restaurant he bought food from yesterday as he was low-key hoping to see the lady he met there yesterday. He got to the restaurant, ordered and ate there still hopeful to see the lady again but to no avail. After eating he ordered a take-out and left there unhappy because he couldn’t see her and kept wondering where and when next he was going to see her.

After much efforts of trying to see her again all to no avail, he got to see her somewhere close to his neighborhood, he could recognize her immediately so he moved closer and tried talking to her;

“Hi he said to her”.

“Hi good afternoon she replied smiling”.

“I saw you for the first time the day I went to buy food at one restaurant and since then I’ve been trying to get to see you again but I couldn’t, how are you”?

“Oh you mean when you were staring at me and made it obvious, of course I remember you, I’m fine and you? She said”.

“I’m sorry if it was creepy and made you uncomfortable I just couldn’t resist staring because you’re so beautiful I must say”.

“She smiled”

“I get that a lot but thanks anyways”.

“Anyways its nice meeting you, can I know your name if you don’t mind”?

“No problem with that, my name is Sarah and you”?

“That’s nice my name is Omar and I stay around this neighborhood, do you”?

“No I don’t, I stay two streets away from here, just came to see a friend here”.

“Okay then do you mind giving out your number so we can hang out later”?

“Hmm maybe some other time, I don’t really give out my number just like that”.

“But I’m no longer a stranger we’ve exchanged names already”.

“No offence but maybe another time”

Omar sighed and said “ok no problem if that’s how you want it, I’ll see you around some other time” as he parted ways with her.
