Love that remained unsaid
Different from you, but different from everyone

Different from you, but different from everyone
They say that some people come into your life and leave behind only memories. But there are some people who not only become a part of our life but also change it in such a way that we can never forget them. This is the story of Kavya and Rahul, two hearts that met for love, but fate had something else in store for them.
Rahul was always a simple guy. Focused on his career, not much of a talker, but had a deep heart. On the other hand, Kavya was a storm—joyful, fearless and different from everyone else. She knew how to live life her way.
They met in college. Rahul was always used to being calm, but Kavya became an enigma for him right from the first meeting. Sometimes she would suddenly laugh in the middle of the class, sometimes she would start singing a song without any reason, and sometimes she would insist on getting drenched in the rain—Kavya had a different energy. This was what Rahul liked the most about her.
"You are so different," Rahul said one day.
Kavya replied smilingly, "I may not be the best person, but whenever you remember my name, do tell me this- she was different from all others."
Love, which remained unsaid
Time passed, and Rahul slowly started falling in love with Kavya. But he could never tell her. Kavya was busy in her world like every other day- in her little joys, in her carefree style.
Then one day, Rahul mustered up the courage to say-
"Kavya, have you ever thought that someone can make you theirs for the whole life?"
Kavya looked into his eyes smilingly, "What is the real meaning of love Rahul?"
"When someone makes your every happiness, every pain theirs."
Kavya took a deep breath and said, “If you really love me, promise me one thing—if we ever get separated, my memory will remain only as a smile, not as pain.”
Rahul did not know that this would be so heavy.
College ended, life put them on different paths. Rahul moved forward in his career, and Kavya… she suddenly left somewhere without telling anyone.
She remained only in memories—that laughter, those carefree talks, those getting drenched in the rain. Rahul searched for her everywhere, but Kavya was nowhere to be found.
Then one day, he found a letter.
“Rahul,
I may not be the best person in your life, but I hope, whenever my name comes in front of you, you will say—‘She was different from all.’
Sometimes getting drenched in the rain, sometimes laughing for no reason, and sometimes forgiving someone for no reason—these are my memories, keep them safe.
"Your Kavya."
Rahul was shocked after reading this letter. But he wanted to know where Kavya had gone. He tried to find out by going to her house, but the family members turned him down.
Rahul's anxiety grew. Then he inquired from Kavya's close friend, Nidhi.
Nidhi took a deep breath and said, "Kavya was a strange girl, isn't she? She would always bring a smile on everyone's face, but would never share her pain with anyone."
Rahul asked anxiously, "What do you mean?"
Nidhi's eyes filled with tears, "Kavya had cancer, Rahul. She never told anyone. She knew that she didn't have much time left." So she didn't want to be tied to anyone, so she left."
Rahul felt as if someone had taken away his entire existence. He couldn't believe that the girl who always laughed, who had an answer to everything, was fighting such a big battle alone.
Rahul asked Nidhi for Kavya's address. She was living in a small hill town, where she wanted to spend her last breaths.
Reaching there, he saw Kavya. She had become very weak, but had the same smile on her face.
"Rahul! Why did you come here?" Kavya asked laughing.
Hiddening the tears in his eyes, Rahul said, "I have come to take you back."
Kavya gently held his hand and said, "Don't stop me, Rahul. I will go, but remember, I was different from everyone, right?"
Tears rolled down Rahul's eyes. He hugged Kavya and said, "Yes, you are different from everyone. And you will always be."
Some days later...
Rahul came back to the city. But now every rain, every laugh, every memory of his was of Kavya.
And whenever it rained, he would go out without an umbrella, because he felt—Kavya would be watching him somewhere and saying...
"Maybe I will not be able to be the best person in your life, but whenever you remember my name, then definitely say this—'She was different from all.'"
