The Tokyo Marathon 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, 2025, marking the 18th edition of this prestigious event. As part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors series, it attracts elite athletes and running enthusiasts from around the globe.
Start Time: The marathon will commence at 9:10 a.m. Japan Standard Time (JST).
Course: The route begins at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku and winds through various city landmarks, including Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace, before concluding at Tokyo Station.
Time Limits: Runners have a maximum of 7 hours to complete the marathon, with the course closing at 4:10 p.m.
Broadcast Information:
In the United States, the marathon will be broadcast on FloTrack, with coverage starting at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 2. The wheelchair races begin at 7:05 p.m. ET, followed by the marathon runners at 7:10 p.m. ET.
