I Launched a Successful Writing Career on Vocal Media
Writing begins
For three years, I was soaking up content like a sponge, absorbing tips, tricks, and strategies from countless sources. But it wasn’t until last week that I began to apply those tips and now I wish I had started sooner!
Anyway, I decided to write on Vocal Media.
A saying goes, "Yesterday is the best day to start; if not, today is the next best day.”
Still, I am not sure what my niche is. As suggested by experts, the only solution to that problem is … write. During this writing journey, they say, you will discover your niche.
So, I decided to start writing about what I heard, what I saw, and what I do in my daily life.
I share my excitement about my debut article. I understand that featuring in communities can help me reach a larger audience. I'm uncertain about the next steps but eager to gain knowledge.
While scrolling through Medium, I saw an article. The title was, "How I Got $1000 on LinkedIn by Ghostwriting." After digging deeper, I found she joined Medium the same month as me. Her story received almost 400 claps over six days. I tried to search for her name on LinkedIn too. Finally, I found her profile. After checking her recent LinkedIn posts, I saw she was cross-posting. She achieved a similar reach on both platforms, a surprising outcome.
The same thing happened to me early in the morning. I was scrolling on Vocal Media, and stopped at a particular story. Instead of reading her story, I checked her bio on that platform. Her bio says she has been writing for a long time on Medium and Vocal Media. This bio provoked me to check her medium profile. I found matching articles on two online platforms at the same time.
A proverb flashed into my mind, one that is
one shot, two birds.
After some research, I learned it's fine to post the same content on different platforms, as long as it's ours.
