Entwined Hearts

It was a sunny day in the small town of Boulder, Bella had just been discharged from the hospital after she got a fever from crying consistently for straight 7 days after Antwon broke up with her.

Bella Scott is a woman in her mid-twenties with, a dark skin complexion that glows with a warm orange undertone, dark hair, a slender body well toned from a consistent workout, bright smile with the perfect set of white teeth. She has the most beautiful eyes that sparkle like stars.

“Bella my love, I don't want to see you cry again. It hurts me to see you suffering like this, forget about Antwon, your prince charming will come to sweep you off your feet”

Mrs Jane Scott, Bella’s mother is in her fifties, a widow. Just like Bella, she is dark in complexion, with short dark hair resting on her shoulders, a slender body figure, brown sparkly eyes, not-so-white teeth and a beautiful smile that can light up a room. We will say Bella took after her Mother’s look. Despite her age, she is ageing backwards.

Bella turned to look at her mother slowly, Muffled and said to her mother

“He was perfect, I thought he was the one, I love him”

With a low tone of voice like someone who wants to cry Mrs Scott replied her

“I understand whatever you are going through right now, you just have to give yourself the chance to get over him and to heal”

“But it’s not that easy, this was a relationship of two years” Bella replied to her mother with teary, red eyes almost the shade of the red dress she was wearing.

“I know my love, no heartbreak is easy but people still heal. You just have to give yourself the chance to heal. We are yet to experience the most beautiful things in the world” she replied with a calm tone and with the love of a mother.

“You think” Bella with her mood slightly lightened said to her mother.

“Yes my love, before I met your father, I got my heart broken too, though I’ve told you this story before but guess what my best years were the ones I spent married to your dad, in blessed memories” she replied Bella in a soothing and calm voice but was a bit emotional because of the mention of her husband.

“Come here mama” Bella stretched her hands out for a hug.

While they were hugging the doctor who treated her walked in

“Miss Scott, how are you doing today? Dr Donovan says while he walks towards her bed.

“I'm better” she replied to Dr Donovan as she was letting go of her mother.

“That’s good to hear, I'm just here to check your vitals for the last time before you go home,” Dr Donovan tells Bella, his gaze prolonged on her as he checks her pulse. Her beautiful dark skin and sexy body features attracted him, he found himself lusting over her. As he touches her skin it sends a shivering sensation to his spine and then he gets a grip of himself.

He cleared his throat and continued with what he was doing but that didn’t stop him from stealing glances. Bella’s eyes caught his, for a minute there, they were staring at each other's eyes but then his professionalism swayed in, he immediately looked away and he felt like a teenager caught staring at his crush in high school.

“You are doing great, your vitals are good, you can go home,” he tells Bella

As he finished examining her, he couldn’t get his mind off her while he walked out the door he reminded himself of the oath he took as a doctor.

Bella got changed from the hospital clothes and one of the nurses came and wheeled her out of the hospital.
