Just as software requires regular updates to stay competitive, we, too, need to constantly upgrade ourselves. The world around us is always changing—think of the transition from keypad phones to touchscreens, or from bicycles to cars.

Let me share a personal experience. When I was in 8th grade, I didn’t understand much about technology. One day, while playing games on my relative's mobile phone, he mentioned that he needed to recharge it to make calls. I didn’t grasp what "recharging" meant or why it was necessary. Even after he explained, I couldn’t wrap my head around it. He finally told me, “You’ll understand when you grow up.”

And he was right. Now, I not only understand that concept, but I’ve also updated and upgraded myself in many other areas. I’m still learning new things to stay relevant in this fast-paced world.

However, I’ve noticed that some of my seniors and other individuals I admire didn’t keep up with new technologies. As a result, they’ve been left behind in certain aspects of life.

Take a moment to reflect on your own past or observe someone close to you who hasn’t embraced change. You’ll see what I mean. Some people who were once highly skilled have struggled because they didn’t keep up with the evolving world.
