Chapter 10 : Realm of Light

Prince of Light | Prince of Fire | Prince of Hell

As the final remnants of the Realm of Darkness faded, the mist parted to unveil the Realm of Light.

The shift was strikingly clear, the oppressive shadows and heavy atmosphere of the previous realm gave way to a landscape bathed in warm, radiant hues.

Soft, golden light cascaded through the trees, and the air was filled with a gentle warmth that wrapped around them in a soothing embrace.

Arnaz and Saliza stood on the threshold of this new realm, their eyes adjusting to the serene and luminous beauty that now enveloped them.

The dark grove they had just left seemed like a distant memory, replaced by an expanse of tranquility and renewal.

Arnaz reached out to Saliza, his gaze a mix of relief and anticipation. “We’ve left the Realm of Darkness behind and entered the Realm of Light. This new world has its own mysteries to unveil.”

Saliza grasped his hand, feeling the comforting presence of the light. “Let’s move forward and explore what this realm has to offer.”

With renewed hope and determination, they stepped into the Realm of Light.

The world around them shimmered in soft hues, the air humming with a sense of calm that belied the turbulent emotions running through both Arnaz and Saliza.

Arnaz extended his hand to Saliza, his face unreadable but his touch filled with warmth. “Come,” he said softly. “There is something more we need to face.”

In this realm, Arnaz appears as if he's been here before, moving with a familiarity that unsettles Saliza. She is confused. Is this the same Arnaz she knew before they entered the portal? Who is Arnaz, really? The thought sends a shiver through her

Saliza’s heart tightened, not in fear but in anticipation. As she took his hand, they walked toward the edge of the grove, where the very air seemed to shimmer and twist. With each step, the environment around them grew lighter, more vibrant. The soft glow of the ethereal forest gave way to something more profound.

Arnaz’s realm, the Realm of Light.

Here, the landscape seemed infinite, a place where the sky wasn’t just above but all around, bathing everything in radiant hues of gold and amber. The light wasn’t harsh but welcoming, touching the world in ways that made every shadow stand out, every flicker of darkness a testament to its power.

Saliza paused as her breath caught in her throat. “This is… your realm?”

Arnaz nodded, his eyes reflecting the flames that danced in the distance. “This is the Realm of Light, but it is also the Realm of Fire… and the Realm of Hell.”

Saliza turned to him in surprise. “Hell?”

Arnaz’s lips curved into a faint smile. “Light, fire, and hell. They all have their place here. My power is not just the gentle glow of comfort, but the searing heat of flames, the fire that burns and purifies. I am the Prince of Light, but also of Hell, where fire reigns supreme.”

The realization that light could hold such duality. A force of both comfort and destruction, settled over Saliza like a revelation. She had always known light to be something pure, but here, in Arnaz’s realm, she saw the depth of what it truly was. It was no different than her own darkness, which could be both beautiful and terrifying.

As they walked deeper into the realm, the air shimmered with embers, casting fleeting images of both beauty and danger in their path. The fire wasn’t meant to harm but to challenge, to purify the soul and test the strength of the heart.

“This place is testing me,” Saliza whispered as she felt the flames draw closer, brushing her skin like a heated caress. “I can feel it.”

Arnaz’s eyes gleamed, not with concern, but pride. “This is where we learn. Just as your darkness sought to overwhelm us, my light will now test our resolve. But remember, light cannot banish darkness completely, and darkness cannot extinguish light. They must coexist.”

Saliza looked at him, the firelight playing across his features. “And what if I fail this test?”

Arnaz’s hand found hers, his grip firm and reassuring. “You won’t fail, because we are bound together. Just as I helped you face your darkness, we will confront this trial together.”

As they walked further into the realm, the ground beneath them turned to molten lava, bubbling softly as they crossed an obsidian bridge that stretched endlessly into the horizon.

The air crackled with raw energy, making Saliza’s heart race, and yet, she found herself growing more attuned to the contrast. The fire no longer felt like a threat, but a challenge, one she was ready to meet.

“This is where I’ve spent most of my existence,” Arnaz said as they reached the heart of the Realm of Fire.

A colossal castle loomed ahead, its walls aflame, glowing like molten gold. “This is Hell, but it is not a place of torment. It’s a realm of trials, where light is sharpened, and the soul is tested.”

Saliza gazed at the fiery palace, awe filling her as she took in the scale of the place. “And you are the prince here?”

Arnaz nodded, his expression solemn. “Yes. This is my duty, to keep the balance, to ensure that the fires don’t consume all but purify what needs to be cleansed.”

Saliza's thoughts spiraled into confusion as she wrestled with the realization that the man she loved was this Arnaz, a Prince of this infernal realm.

Unease settled over her, and questions crept through her mind like shadows.

Who was he, really? What was his true nature? How did he view himself, and what did his role in hell signify to him? Was he truly the Prince of Fire, the Prince of Hell, the very embodiment of this fiery domain?

As they approached the palace, flames erupted before them, forming a barrier. Saliza felt an instinctive pull toward the flames, as though the darkness within her was reaching out to find equilibrium. She raised her hand, and to her surprise, the flames bent toward her, intertwining with her shadows in a delicate dance.

Arnaz watched, his expression calm but intense. “This is the test, Saliza. To accept not only your darkness but the fire that burns within. If we are to be together, we must face the truth of who we are, both light and dark, fire and shadow.”

Saliza took a deep breath and stepped forward. As she did, the flames parted, revealing a path. Her heart raced, but she found strength in Arnaz’s presence, in the way his light guided her through the burning trial. The deeper they ventured, the more she realized how intertwined they were, his fire ignited by her darkness, her shadows made whole by his light.

Finally, they stood before the heart of Arnaz’s domain.

The flames roared all around them, but Saliza felt no fear. Instead, she stood tall, side by side with Arnaz, her heart steady. This was their trial, not just of the realm, but of their bond.

Arnaz turned to her, his hand reaching for hers once more. “Are you ready?”

Saliza met his gaze, the fire reflecting in her eyes. “I am.”

Together, they stepped into the flames, not to be consumed, but to emerge stronger, light and darkness, fire and shadow.

Bonded.

United.

As One.
