Chapter Two: Shadow in the Night

As the threats began to loom, the atmosphere of Kaizen Village became tense and anxious. People whispered about the presence of strangers hovering around the village's borders, while Ryoma felt a heavy pressure in his chest whenever he thought about his words with the Crimson Dawn. He had become the bearer of the Crimson Dawn Sword, and he now knew that this sword carried with it a huge responsibility that exceeded his current capabilities.

The Attack Begins

On a quiet night, while most of the villagers were asleep, the attack began. Terrifying screams came from one end of the village, as flames lit up the darkness of the night, and the screams of the people mixed with the sound of hooves and rushing feet. A mysterious group, clad in black and moving lightly like ghosts, invaded the village in terrifying silence, searching for something specific, and that something was the Crimson Dawn Sword.

Ryoma, who had been contemplating the sword in his small room, heard the noise and rushed out, carrying the sword with him. He saw the flames rising and immediately realized that the enemies were searching for his sword. He stood for a moment looking at the sword in his hand, hesitating but at the same time knowing that he could not escape this fate.

Ryoma's First Encounter

As he approached the public square, Ryoma encountered one of the Shadow Warriors, a tall, thin man, wearing a black cloak that covered his features. The Shadow Warrior looked at Ryoma with mockery and began to deliver a quick and sudden strike towards him. Ryoma had never fought a real battle before, but instinct prompted him to raise his sword to block the attack.

He felt a powerful energy surge through his body the moment the sword touched the enemy's sword. It was a powerful blow that almost made him lose his balance, but he was able to quickly regain his footing, and he felt the crimson flash of the sword grow stronger, as if it was coming to life in response to the challenge. With each strike the Shadow Warrior delivered, the spirit of the Crimson Dawn wordlessly guided him, urging him to stand firm.

With his increased focus, Ryoma was able to deliver a powerful blow to the Shadow Warrior, forcing him to retreat. This was his first victory in his battle, but he realized that the real battle was not over yet.

Meeting Jiro and His Role in the Battle

Amidst the chaos of the battle, Jiro, Ryoma's loyal childhood friend, appeared. Holding a wooden spear, Jiro fought passionately to defend the villagers who were trying to escape the attack. With his courage and bravery, he joined Ryoma, and they fought shoulder to shoulder.

Jiro had always stood by Ryoma's side in difficult times and today was no exception. Despite his fear of the enemies, being by Ryoma's side gave him courage. Jiro said with a defiant smile, "I won't let them take our village, I will fight by your side until the end!"

Ryoma smiled gratefully, knowing that he could count on Jiro. Together, the two of them worked together to repel the enemies, organizing the villagers into small groups to protect them, helping to minimize casualties and giving the villagers a chance to escape to safe areas.

Meeting the Mysterious Himari

As the battle continued, Ryoma felt a strange energy around him. As he caught his breath for a moment, he caught sight of a faint light appearing in the darkness. A girl with soft features and long silver hair swaying like the wind appeared before him, wearing a white robe that glowed softly in the dark.

She said to him calmly, her eyes looking at him with a strange tenderness: "Ryoma, you are not alone. I will be by your side to guide you on your way." Her voice was calm but carried an unnatural power, and Ryoma felt like he had known her for a long time.

This girl was Himari, the guardian spirit who sought to protect Ryoma and his sword. She approached him and said in a serious tone: "You must be careful, these shadows are searching for the sword because they know its power, but they do not realize the price they will pay if they use it. You will only find your true power if you have the will and courage."

Then she reached out her hand towards him, and placed it on the sword, and he felt the heat of her energy seeping into his soul, as if she was giving him a part of her power. Himari continued in a warning tone: "This night will only be the beginning. The enemies will continue to hunt you down. But I will be here to help you."

Himari disappeared in a flash, leaving Ryoma with new powers awakening within him. Feeling brave, Ryoma stood up again, determined to end the battle.

Chapter End

As dawn broke, Ryoma and Jiro managed to repel the shadows and save the village from destruction. Their first battle had been exhausting, but he realized that his path was long and arduous, and that the enemies would not stop. But Ryoma, now that he had learned part of his strength and had Himari's support, was ready to shoulder the burden and defend his village and his values.

The chapter ends with Ryoma standing at the entrance to the village, looking at the sunrise with determination and resolve, while Jiro stands beside him, gripping his sword tightly, knowing that his journey had already begun and that more dangers awaited him on the horizon.
