Businesswoman Chapter 71

Collectivist Souls

By Skyler SaundersPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

The Collectivists didn’t so much as lounge as leer at one another. They tried to find fault in each other. But they could all agree on certain things.

“Businesswoman and Businessgirl must be stopped,” Common Man said finally, toking on a hookah.

“Old Statist isn't going to be around much longer. We’ve gotta show him that we can eliminate them, not physically, but spiritually,” Socialista mentioned.

“I think we drain their funds. They’re making beaucoup dollars out here. Why not target their wallets?” Fascinder asked.

The animosity in the room grew like a circle of smoke from a source of burning sewage.

“If people stop praising them and embrace me, they’d be alright,” Common Man suggested.

“What about me?” Socialista queried, her lower lip quivering a bit. “I’m closer to the people than both of you combined. Nobody’s going to stand up and say they’re a Communist or fascist. I’m in the halls of state. People like me. That’s most important.”

“Bah. Fascism is the best way to keep a company in check. Let them have their precious business while I regulate and control them. Statist would pat me on the back.”

“You’re both wrong. Communism is the only proper way for humans to survive and thrive. Everywhere it’s been tried, prosperity, ecstasy, and flourishing has occrred….” he waited for their reactions.

“I mean, yes, all over the world Communism has brought about happiness and joy.”

They then heard the words said and considered their own beliefs and how Common Man could even form his lips to say such things.

“Statist is going to be gone soon. We have to metaphorically meld lungs, join hearts, and collectivize our brains,” Fascinder announced. “Whatever we do, it should be in sacrificial service to him.”

Socialista arose and noticed a figure. “It’s Businesswoman.”
