As the pencil tpped against her glass desk, she awaited a reaction from her compatriots. A shift, some glance, anything that registered as a gesture of some approval or disavowal kept her in wrapt suspense.
“If we just tell them to adjust the parameters, we will see fligjt,” Entrepreneur observed. There was a calmness in his voice with an edge like juice spiked with gin.
“I think we should just send them a message to let them know we’re trying to keep the same thought about making them spaceworthy,” Lisa added.
Loreen stood up and leaned slightly. Her body seemed like a heron, lithe and nimble but infused with strength.
“There’s something we can say about all this. It’s about money. We’re greedy and selfish and we all know we don the laurels of justice. But not everyone, as we all well know, share different viewpoints.”
“Yes. We’ve seen our inundation of people who have not shared what we think. We nevertheless return to them with our onw lives and thoughts,” Entrepreneur Paul mentioned.
“Absolutely,” Lisa championed. “I must say though, that this whole deal would be sweetened for us all if they just bring to bear the notion of passion. I love money and especially making it, but we would be nowhere without the drive to see our respective businesses take off like this rocket should.”
Loreen grinned. It was like she was returning a salute. Her mind zoomed to the paper in front of her. She tapped her red polished fingernail on the desk. The sound reminded them all of a tap dancer.
“What we have here is a dilemma. To consider the part on whether the rocket should launch based on faith. The engineers, the managers remain excited. They’re fighting even if they don’t share everything yet.”
