Doors unlocked in synchronized fashion. The continuous clicking heralded the arrival of Lisa and Entrepreneur Paul.

Loreen’s face looked grim, until an invisible string pulled at the corner of her mouth. She granted them access. Like a ticket into a fantasyland, they had stamped to not frolic but use their minds.

“We’ve got a stickiness down in Houston. One of the rocket boosters has come detached,” Loreen explained.

“So, they’ll just reattach it.”

“That’s just it…they’re fighting over which team gets to do the job,” Loreen spoke further. “And we don’t have long before the launch, as you know.”

“With the warring parties, there seems to be a stronger hold on the first team. They’re young, focused, and determined. Team two is experienced, constant, and idealistic.”

“I’d expect it to be the other way around,” Entrepreneur Paul observed. He sighed. It wasn’t a sigh of tiredness or resignation but a recognition of the facts.

“We can influence them,” Lisa announced. “I’m sure some of them are on the site looking for dates. We can definitely sway them to become more diplomatic in their ways.”

“You’ve got the youth and the drive but we’ve got the work already put in,” Entrepreneur Paul acknowledged.

“Wait, wait, wait…we’re not going to have a rift right now. Not here, not ever.”

“What do we do, Lor’? We can’t just sit on our hands and be good Catholics. We’ve gotta take action.”

Lisa looked into Entrepreneur Paul’s eyes. “It’s okay. He’s right. I don’t have the wit or the wisdom. But what I do have is the responsibility to see that all these people get on the same accord.”

“How do you plan to do that?” Entrepreneur Paul asked, he folded his arms. “The way through all of this is selfishness. That’s our sole role.”
