The elevator held three people. Their collective net worth was three hundred and three billion dollars. Entrepreneur Paul stood among them. He stepped closer to the buttons.
“Floors?” he asked.
A woman in her late forties spoke up. “I think we’re all going to the top.” She said it as if it were not a figure of speech but an actual, matter-of-fact way of discovering something. She grinned and small lines around her mouth showed.
The other man, the “brother man” who had looked too nice and spoke too well, patted his braids and straightened his collar.
“Looks like we’re all in for the big hit. This is going to change someone’s life for the better, I know it will,” he mentioned. He smiled and diamonds and veneers glistened in the light above. The elevator dinged. Someone else stepped on to ride. He wore tattered clothes and disheveled pink and green hair. The net worth boosted another hundred billion dollars. The four of them possessed more wealth than any household in Delaware combined. Once the elevator resumed, it didn’t stop until it reached the final level.
The lady exited first followed by the diamond teeth and the pink and green hair. Entrepreneur Paul just waited and then took the elevator down to the ground level. He didn’t want to cavort with them on whatever scheme or plan they wanted to hatch. They probably wanted midlevel marketing to be their idea of fleecing the public although this still remained a misnomer of what MLM really stood for in the first place. Entrepreneur Paul, nevertheless, wanted to get as far away from other billionaires that didn’t have the names Loreen or Lisa.
His ticket to ride the lofty scene of having money permitted him to go to the levels that featured festivities.
