With news that someone had found the hard drive, Lisa breathed and looked into Len’s eyes.
“This has to be it….” she reminded herself more than trying to explain it to him.
The way the hard drive had been intact and had carried no signs of damage or corruption, this sparked a blaze of interest in Lisa. As she walked into the police station, she found the hardware just like she had left it. Small and clean, the thing had never been touched wrongly. It had been taken viciously but no one had disturbed it.
Loreen and Entrepreneur Paul arrived as well. “Can you say this is some kind of miracle?” The police chief motioned.
The three looked at Ken and he shook his head no as with them.
“She knows how to get the best out of that thing,” Entrepreneur Paul stated. “She built Eudominia with that very piece of hardware,” he told a young man standing at attention like a warrior.
“I can pay right now. I can give fifty million right now.”
The police felt perspiration collected at his temples.
“That’s just it. He doesn’t want the money, now. He wants the rights to your site.”
“He what?” Lisa asked.
“That’s absurd. He will not get them. She built that thing with her own wits. She owns it all.”
Loreen replied as if slamming a volleyball over the net for a score.
“I regret saying this, but the person we never caught. He just left this with us. He detailed how he didn’t adversely affect it in any way and wanted no monetary reward. Instead, he is asking for fifty one percent of your company.”
“Like hell,” Lisa gritted her teeth. “You find this bastard and put him away.”
“We’re still investigating but this is a win.”
