The fluorescent light above Lisa's head shone down upon her. Devlin held a hand on her right shoulder as Loreen and Entrepreneur Paul showed up at the precinct. Reporters and journalists snapped their cameras and called out the business magnates.

“I can see what she was saying about the press,” Atkinson mentioned.

“They’re just doing their jobs,” Loreen replied. They climbed the steps to the station.

Lisa looked shaken. At the same time, though, she appeared resolute. When she saw Loreen and Entrepreneur Paul she got out of her chair and hugged them both. Devlin reached out and shook Entrepreneur Paul and Loreen’s hands.

The reality and the weight of the circumstances were not lost on the four of them. Delaware State Police Lieutenant Donnell Sworsin pointed out facts.

“Miss Conway, we’ve got time stamps on when the figures appeared on your camera system. We’re talking to your doorman right now. Whatever we can do, we will do.” He got up from his desk and handed over a form for her to fill out in the time they had been there.

Entrepreneur Paul took the form. He scoured over it.

“This is incomplete. There should be lines regarding the amount of items that were taken.”

“I can just fill it in on the side.”

“No,” Loreen asserted. “Lieutenant!”

Sworsin came back to the quartet.

“Yes, Businesswoman?”

“You can call me Mrs. Breen. What forms do you have that include space for the stolen items?”

“We don’t include that,” he replied.

“Why not?” Loreen asked.

“Few people are in a state well enough to recall what had been absconded. We just got used to it being apart from the official record.” He shrugged and returned to his office.

“Okay. So I’ll just keep a mental note of everything that was taken.”
