When Loreen and Lisa arrived at the building which tracked the tolls for the Delaware bridges, Socialista had already arrived.

“It seems like you’re too late,” Socialista said, her face curling into a malicious grin.

“We actually notified the officials last night so they’re on our schedule,” Loreen fired back.

Socialista sucked her teeth.“Anywho, you’re not going to sway them,” the Collectivist replied.

“Why is that?” Lisa asked.

“Businessgirl…naive Businessgirl. My system represents the people. You both represent the one percent.”

“So they’re not people?” Lisa queried.

“I mean…uh…yes. But not in the same way.”

“In what way?” Loreen pressed.

“You know they’re not ‘salt of the earth….’”

“Right. And you represent ‘the people’?”

“Of course.”

“We represent everyone from the young girl making dolls to sell to turn a profit of a few thousand dollars. We represent the billionaire who wants to innovate rather than stagnate. We represent the people of thought. The individual. We represent the free market. That means free men and minds. You and your Cronies wish to tag all people under the same leash and have them bark and bite each other like hounds,” Loreen explained.

Socialista looked down and up again. “You’re not going to come in here and say that Delaware should have even higher tolls,” Socialista challenged.

“We’re pushing for higher tolls on private roads that will be cleaner, safer, and have greater options based on securing our highways and byways,” Loreen further articulated.

Socialista guffawed in an acidic way. “All you talk about is the private sector. These roads belong to everyone.”

“No, they belong to the people who wish to one day see the State but out of the business of business.”

When Socialista heard this, the other two women met up with the comptroller of the state’s road system.
