On the street, an eerie quiet pervaded the land. Entrepreneur Paul walked tall. He wore a thermal top and black jeans and boots. Every step remained a testament to his confidence.

He marched back to his motorcycle and put on his helmet. He started his crotch rocket and sped off from the place with a great amount of power.

In his mind, he had weighed the problems that had been plaguing him. The thought of what had been going on in the Collectivists’ vicious world coupled with his business concerns.

He didn’t let it affect his performance, though. He channeled his strength of ideas into his ability to shift gears and cut through the prevailing stillness of the Wilmington streets.

His thoughts crashed but he obeyed the nature of the road. To lessen the risk of getting into some kind of collision, he focused on each gear and controlled his movements. The economy of actions permitted him to keep his concerns about Loreen and Lisa at bay.

When he had a chance he slowed the bike and stopped at a red light. A glance at a woman with angular features and eyes that looked like cut jade enlivened him. Her high end sports car hummed. He waved. She waved back. The light turned green and they both shuttled off from their positions.

It felt weird. That gnawing feeling about what could’ve been something ate at him. To shake it off meant he could bring his abilities in the romance department to another woman. Many contacts in his digital black book could satisfy him.

By knowing that the struggle to land a wife out of his time as an adult brought him to an agreement with himself. At the risk of lowering his value, he sighed knowing about his own powers.
