Businesswoman Chapter 292
Discretion
The link to the message glowed. The pulsing redness around it aroused awe and suspicion all at the same time. Lisa tapped her screen.
It revealed itself as an advertisement for tissues. She rolled her eyes.
Dressed in a mustard yellow suit with raspberry buttons and matching heels, she dressed up for work in her own condo.
The message remained in her consciousness as she opened up a window for her team.
“Hi, everyone!”
“Hi,” the team answered.
“We’re going to roll out Destinations tools for paid subscribers. This will allow the user to pick a place where the other dater can go. I think it’s going to be a hit. What do you say?”
Clarence spoke first. He wore a blue blazer. “Good morning Lisa. I don’t think this is going to work.”
“Why not?”
“Who knows where these dating places will be?”
“I know. I’ve registered Eudominea at more than fifty locations around Delaware. Restaurants and hotels already have us in their list. We’re even going to feature vouchers and coupons if they find a match.”
“Yes,” Lindsay Raymond stated. “What about the people who get to those places and the other person doesn’t show up?”
Lisa sighed. “That’s a good point, but I’ve handled that as well. With the amount of users who will match with someone, that will be their opportunity to tell us. Once that is shared, they should be able to identify the other person. If they’re a no show, they can discreetly send us the information and we can refund all monies on our end.”
“I think that may be a bit out of our purview,” Margaret Mettle mentioned. She wore nautical black and gray stripes.
“If we start giving information out like that—”
“Again discretion. All of this is encrypted.”
“We’ll see.”
