Businesswoman Chapter 289

Fires blazed. Police sirens wailed as the car crossed highway lines. The suped up car barreled its way through like a pink bullet down the road. Helicopters chopped the air overhead. Spikes lined the street. With extreme maneuverability, the vehicle negotiated the obstacles.

Then, the car launched skyward off a cliff into the watery depths below. The screen read “FINISHED!”

Socialista threw down the controls in defeat.

“Shouldn’t you be writing that op/ed in the Daily?” Common Man asked the young woman slinking down the leather sofa.

“I’ll get to it. What are we going to do about our next demonstration?” Socialista asked.

“Yeah,” Fascinder announced. “That last one was a hoot,” His eyebrows raised with his acidic sarcasm.

“I’m serious. We have to show that the group is better than them. That this group is better than any individual,” Socialista countered.

“Everyone knows, they just don’t show it,” Fascinder mentioned. “Of course the group is better. We all have variations on the same theme. We’re giving voice to the public. The people!”

“We’re here to get rid of the idea of the classes,” Common Man reminded.

“We need to get some money….” Fascinder pointed out.

“What we’re doing now is wasting time,” Socialista stated.

“Oh, the gamer seems to have a point on better time management….” Fascinder mused.

“Our cause is right. And I’m just letting off steam.”

Common Man circled the kitchen island. He put his hands up to his face and brought them down sharply.

“We need to agree! We need to display that groups nurture, nourish and help communities grow because they are groups. That’s what makes it more effective than just the lone individual.”

Socialista and Fascinder exchanged glances. They brought their hands together and prayed quietly. They prayed for atoms and nothing else only.
