Entrepreneur Paul walked around his apartment. He looked at the local news on his phone and then switched to another news source.
His eyes widened. He read the line at the top of the screen which read, “United States to consider legalizing all narcotics and scheduled substances.”
A grin stretched across his face. It seemed genuine and straightforward. He l pumped his fists in the air.
He called Loreen. No answer. She took the stage for a talk on the question of landfills being converted to energy production. He finally remembered. He called Lisa.
“Hey, what’s up?” Lisa sounded energetic.
“I’m sure you saw the news.”
“I have. This will show that drugs are rarely forced on people. It’s all a choice.”
“Exactly!” he chimed. “How many people are impelled to put crackpipes to their lips? How many people are coerced to pop fent?”
“That’s right. I’ve got some work….”
“If course. I tried to get Lor’ but….”
“The talk.”
“The talk.”
“I’ll catch up with you later,” he remarked.
“Take care,” she replied. He canceled the call and then nearly leapt into the air. Entrepreneur Paul always wanted to get into the drug trade, but never wished to break the law. He turned to his notebook. After firing up a word processor, he typed an essay for the Daily Delaware.
After he sent the body of the article to the news source, he sighed at the fact he had accomplished something. Not just the success but the potential for people to revolutionize their minds, that’s what drove him.
He got up and found his jacket and helmet. Once he had been able to get on his chopper, he saw people with signs.
“Does this ever stop?” he asked himself.
People fought against the idea of drugs being totally legal.
