Businesswoman Chapter 264
Entire
“What the hell were you thinking?!” Common Man demanded of Socialista. “We’re not supposed to go against the cops!”
“I mean…a little bit,” Fascinder.
“Shut up, Fasc’! I’m serious.” He turned back to Socialista. “We’re against them but we don’t attack unless provoked. This is going to ruin the relations and possibly the entire movement. It’s all over the news. Goddamn, Soc’. You stepped in it this time.”
“I’m serious, too. This should set a precedent." He strolled around in faded jeans and a tattered white shirt. Common Man wore slacks and a lumberjack. Socialista wore all black still.
“We’re supposed to be an axis of power. The group is more than the individual. We have to make that known. We have to underline, write in bold, italicize, and put it in all caps. What we don’t do is accost cops. Our target should be to shed tears at the beauty of our movement, not to cause tears in the eyes of the police.”
“I messed up. I know I can make it better,” Socialista explained. “I can do this without going against our core parameters.”
“You can start with a love letter,” Fascinder quipped. “That’s the best way.”
“Shut up, Fascinder. You’re making it worse with your little jokes. We have to reassess everything now. We’re in danger of losing our base.”
“Our base?” Fascinder asked. “They want to defund the police and further monetize cartels. They don’t give a damn about those in blue. We’re better off clashing with the cops as often as possible.”
“You don’t have to defend me, Fasc’. What I did was wrong. That cop was there to do his job. We can argue about what that is, but what I did is reprehensible.”
“Let’s focus on rectifying this entire situation," Common man interjected.
