Socialista didn’t wear a band on her arm or don a special symbol. Instead, she dressed in a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black boots. By gathering all of her materials, markers, posters, staple guns, pens, short essays, and gas masks, she pointed at the door and made a swishing sound with her mouth. When she left, Common Man and Fascinder had been asleep.
The sky still looked dark. She bounded in the Goulding without a care about the two men. In her bones, she felt like she had to do this her way. Once she arrived at the site of the revolt in Wilmington, the place looked like a concrete desert.
In considering how many people would show up, Socialista began stapling the signs and essay copies to light poles. Officer William Hampton looked up from his laptop and noticed Socialista, busy planting her ideas. He exited his squadcar and approached her.
“Hey, Miss! This is private property. You can’t post here.”
Socialista looked at him, shrugged, and then continued to spread her thoughts via the private poles.
“Alright, you just made it harder on yourself,” Officer Hampton announced. As he reached for his handcuffs, Socialista withdrew pepper spray and aimed for the officer’s eyes. The burning, stinging sensation partially disoriented Hampton. Socialista ran back to her car. The police officer radioed in the attack.
“Yes, I have a young woman in a red sedan…just got sprayed…requesting a van….”
As Socialista approached the house where she lived with the two other men, she palpitated. Things should not have escalated like that. What she wanted to do didn’t happen and she rushed law enforcement. She began to cry in the car.
“What the hell, Soc’?!” Common rushed to the car.
“We saw stories about a cop getting sprayed. What happened?”

Flowers adorned the entrance to the Episcopalian church in Greenville, Delaware just outside of Smartystanian gates. Orchids and lilies danced in the spring air. The sound of a choir echoed throughout the hallways. Bellinda Gummer walked through the entrance. She wore a midnight blue business suit with red piping and silver buttons. A white hat sat atop her head. The ensemble matched with the red, white, and blue theme of the church. She met up with her father, Reverend Colin. He wore a black robe with gold trim. His dark brown hair looked full and tiny flecks of gray showed at the temples. His office looked immaculate. Photographs with dignitaries dotted the space. A comfy seat sat opposite his desk. A smile cracked on his face. Rows of white teeth showed.
