Whatever Lisa thought Eudomonia would turn into, she expected it to make its first profit in about a year. It took six weeks. She enjoyed the opportunity to make money off of her creation, but she still lacked a mate.
She walked around her spacious downstairs that had been finished.
A fireplace crackled as she walked by several monitors. Men and women engineers from all over the globe made it possible for the site to function. She relished at the idea that this investment remained her most engaging and rewarding experience.
She zoomed in a chat that didn’t show the face or metadata, only the watch hours. The time clicked past three hours. An eyebrow raised as she observed the different chats.
Within an hour, the record for engagement in private chats increased…twice.
Lisa breathed. In her mind, she envisioned running this business to work as a boss in her own environment. She didn’t do it to please Loreen or impress Entrepreneur Paul. Though those were important and welcome outcomes, the income drove her. That and the fact connections in the romantic realm swelled.
A glitch in the system occurred…again. This time it affected the time stamps.
“Businessgirl…Miss Conway,” the engineer Michella Charleston stuttered.
“Lisa’s fine Michella. Can you correct the time?”
“It’s going to take some doing, but I can do it.”
“That’s it. That’s the soul of battle we almost have in this fight.”
Michella then used her ideas and confidence. She switched to a program that had been in a previous update. She understood this was anathema to what the business usually acted on in their war for the share of the online dating space.
She rebooted the system and wrote a few lines of code. Then she worked like a doctor tying a suture. She finished.
