Businesswoman Chapter 18
Residentially Challenged Part II
“Canard, we’re going to use a networking system,” Loreen informed. “We’ll set you up in one of my homes. You can band with other people within your current status and build businesses together,” she mentioned. “OneSheet would solve all the logistical issues in being either an entrepreneur or work your way up the corporate ladder. Somewhere, you might be mopping floors. Then, you’ll work the fries. Next, you’ll be a cashier. Afterward, you’ll be a supervisor and also manager. In the end, you’ll be a franchise owner. That's my commitment, but no promises.”
Canard looked at her and Setland. He signed the digital form. He handed it to them and Loreen hailed a vehicle to take him to the house where other business people worked on various cases.
Setland grinned. “I’ll say, Businesswoman you don’t need superpowers to save the world. You’re doing it right now.”
“I’m just being selfish. I think if we’re honest that means we’re egoistic. This isn’t a mission of mercy but a journey to prosperity.”
Canard, Setland, and Loreen waited for the car to arrive. Once it did, the entrepreneurs and the future potential entrepreneur waved at each other.
“I’ve got to get to work,” Setland remarked, reading his watch.
“Don’t let me hold you up,” Loreen commanded. She made an about face and approached the luxury vehicle. In her mind, she wrestled with the reality of poverty and to never be one of the multitude again. She came from the dust and fashioned empires all based on pluck and her mighty insight.
“Raphael,” she called.
“Yes, ma’am?”
“Please take me to my office.”
She felt great about the OneSheet as a means for anyone to display their résumé or build the business plan in a single page. She showed a serious visage despite happiness.
