Colors descended from the sky as lights flashed. The groundbreaking of “Entrepreneur Paul” Atkinson’s website had just been unveiled. Applause arose. Great throngs of people made it look like a parade outside of the offices. The first transaction occurred when Atkinson bought a pint of ice cream from an up-and-comer’s Creamery called Dice’s Ice.

Loreen and Lisa stood among the crowd. Their smiles streaked across their faces like calling cards for gaiety. Confidence bloomed. They moved to where Atkinson walked inside of the building.

“These are all staff, busting their backsides to not only keep Netting.com thriving.”

Then everything switched to pitch black except for the computers.

“You see, we can have brown and blackouts and the techs can still do their work.”

A reporter squirreled his way up to Atkinson.

“‘Entpreneur Paul,’ what is your goal for this website?”

“I want to make as much money as possible by creating a safe space for people to promote and exchange funds for their efforts.”

Loreen and Lisa just walked gingerly. It was like they floated. They felt buoyant because of their friend’s latest project. Then, Fascinder showed his face.

“What do you want Fasc’?”

“I just thought I’d stop by and get a good look at the place.”

“You’re not welcome here, so—” Atkinson continued.

Fascbinder put his hands in the air. “Hey, I just was here for a gnat’s life. I don’t want to encroach on the party. No need for security. I’ll see myself out.”

Atkinson stood with his arms crossed as the unwanted visitor exited out of the building.

Lisa rolled her eyes. Loreen looked at her smartwatch. “It’s time to cut the cake,” she announced.

It wasn't just an ordinary cake. The baker made thin layers of non-toxic gold and platinum that shimmered in the light.
