Businesswoman Chapter 134
The Individualists speak together.

The three of them finished their speeches to thunderous applause and a standing ovation that lasted twelve minutes.
“Thank you all,” announcer Humphrey Balmer chimed. “Now we’ll take questions. Yes?” He pointed to a prim young woman with a blue sweater and khaki skirt.
“Firstly, that was amazing. I’d never seen a presentation like that before. Um, this is for Entrepreneur Paul. Why do you think materialism is so rampant?”
“Wow, I was waiting on a softball,” Atkinson remarked. “Well, materialism is good in the end. Everything in the natural world either is matter or has to be observed by it. Look at our clothes, this microphone, these lights. All material, but came from a place of ideas…the human mind.”
“Thank you,” the young woman sat.
A boy with locks looked up and directed his question at Lisa.
“Do you think it’s a conflict of interest to hold private businesses and a 501 (c) (3) at the same time?”
“Absolutely not. I hold my businesses together and still have to pay taxes on them. It is refreshing to have an organization where I’m not taxed. Until all payment for governmental services is voluntary, I will continue the fight to let go of the yoke.”
The last question came from a young man in a business suit and a red power tie.
“Do you, Businesswoman, deserve the money you make? I’ve studied you and know you’ve organized this evening. Do you feel like you’ve earned your keep?”
“Yes, I do. So does Businessgirl and Entrepreneur Paul. I’m presuming that you earn your money, too. It doesn’t matter if you’re poor or rich. I don’t care about the rich and poor. I care about the productive. I’ve concerned myself with the ones who could only show their quarterly reports and time cards.”
