Information obtained from the Collectivists proved fruitless. Lisa started to call Loreen but banished the thought. Her fingers glided over the keys to her computer. With her powers of deduction, she broke down every lead.

Her phone rang. She answered.

“Hey.”

“Hey, girl. What’s up? Paul and I have been trying to locate you for the past few days. What’s happening?”

“I’m trying to find whomever placed that bomb threat.”

“Don’t worry about it. I’m not worried about it. If you’re up to it, I need you to accompany Paul and me to a conference in Hockessin. Are you game?”

“Yes.”

“Great. We’ll all have the stage at separate times and then have a Q&A together at the end. It should be a lotta fun.”

Loreen’s indomitable spirit shone through in this case. Her tone and demeanor sounded like she was going on a cruise. Now, thinking of which, a business cruise wouldn’t be so bad anyway….

“Thank you, Lor,”” Lisa replied.

“And thank you. Your diligence in trying to make sure I was safe or that the culprits see justice is something I will cherish until the end of my days.”

Lisa straightened. “I just want us all to be able to spread the word of capitalism and not have to worry about it.”

“Again, you don’t have to do so. Everything we stand for is righteous and true. I know because of your tenacity that we’ll recover from this. So, let’s mark this chapter as done and keep on with our lives,” Loreen explained.

Lisa sniffled a little and then looked towards her ceiling. “Okay, Businesswoman.”

“Alright then, Businessgirl.”

They laughed with a heartiness and vitality that sustained them until they met again. Once they hung up, they journeyed to their desks and prepared their hallowed, sacred speeches.
