Bored God and Excited Boy
Chapter 1. God is Bored

Chapter notes: I had these story ideas in my head for a really long time. I couldn't hold back and started writing them. So, enjoy it 😉.
A mellow beat, like lofi music, floated through an endless white space. God lounged on a plush white couch, his gaze fixed on a massive screen before him. This screen displayed everything happening in the world below—every heartbeat, whisper, and life unfolding.
God's space was unlike Earth or Heaven. It was a boundless plane outside of reality, where the couch, screen, and infinite whiteness were all he needed to watch over his creation.
But today, he felt bored.
He drummed his fingers on the armrest, watching the predictable lives on the screen—people were born, went to school, fell in love, worked, laughed, and eventually died. "This is so boring," he muttered, resting his chin in his hand. "Where's the excitement?"
To his right, Samael, an angel with dark wings, stepped closer. His face was serene, contrasting with the white void. He had waited for ages, ready to offer counsel. Even he noticed God's disinterest.
"My Lord?" Samael asked gently.
God barely turned his head, raising an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Samael pointed to the screen. "I've been watching Japan. They've created something called 'anime'—it's a unique form of animated storytelling, full of depth and emotion. You might find it interesting."
God blinked, intrigued. "Anime?" he repeated, glancing at the screen, but he still seemed uninterested.
Lucifer, standing on God's left, chimed in. "Not just anime. Studios worldwide are making exciting fantasy films. Have you heard of Marvel?"
God frowned; he hadn't. Lucifer continued, "They tell stories about gods and heroes, full of action. Humans love them. You might enjoy it."
Samael nodded. "Yes, my Lord. These stories are filled with drama and excitement. You might find them refreshing."
God leaned back, still staring at the screen, contemplating the monotony of human life. But now, his thoughts turned to the stories Samael and Lucifer mentioned. Anime? Marvel? They seemed different.
"Hmm, really?" God mused, a spark of interest in his voice. "Let's see how it goes then."
For the first time in ages, a faint smile appeared on his lips. Maybe this would shake things up a bit.
