My alarm clock gently beeps at 6:30 a.m. to remind me to get out of bed. My window lets in the first rays of sunlight, which fill the space with a cozy hue. I begin my day with stretching for a few minutes to awaken my body and mind. I then start my day off right with a steaming cup of coffee. I usually have a smoothie or Greek yogurt with fresh fruit for breakfast, then I go through my phone's morning news.

At 6:30 a.m., my alarm clock softly chimes to tell me to get out of bed. The first rays of sunlight stream in through my window, giving the room a warm tone. I stretch for a few minutes in the morning to get my body and mind moving. I then have a warm cup of coffee to start my day off well. After eating a smoothie or Greek yogurt with fresh fruit for breakfast, I typically read the morning news on my phone.

More targeted work is done in the afternoon. I jump right into projects, troubleshoot, and plan for future endeavors. I begin to wrap up as the clock approaches 5:00 p.m., plan my tasks for the next day, and make notes. I take a quick stroll around the neighborhood before I go home to get some fresh air and decompress.

I prefer to relax in the evenings. I regularly make dinner, experimenting with new dishes or sticking to tried-and-true ones. I might read a book, watch a movie, or hang out with loved ones thereafter. I evaluate my accomplishments for the day and make plans for tomorrow as the day comes to an end. I'm thankful for the regularity that provides comfort and a sense of success when it's time for bed at 10:30 p.m. Every day consists of a balance between work and play, which gives life meaning and enjoyment.
