About this challenge
Moms work hard around the clock. From the early stages of our lives to the most significant moments, and the most difficult ones alike, moms show up at every level. Somehow they manage to accomplish this while working to provide, or working to keep the house together, therefore making them the strongest woman on our team!
Whether natural or chosen, there’s a powerful mother behind all of us. For this Challenge, we want you to honor some of the mothers, grandmothers, and all the extended mothers in-between who have left their mark on you. Enter the Boss Mom Challenge and share the most significant lessons they've taught you, and how their influence shaped your life! In what ways are you thankful for them? What advice do you hold dear and carry with you today because of them? Whether they’re responsible for shaping your career choices, or your moral values, share a story celebrating and honoring your #BossMom.
We’ve partnered with the Female Quotient for this Challenge because they firmly believe in empowering and uplifting women by offering them visibility across all walks of life. We encourage you to include images, videos, and other keepsakes that bond you and the special leading lady in your life. ❤️

The Ritual of Winter Challenge Winners
Welcome to the Winners Announcement for The Ritual of Winter challenge. This prompt focused on winter rituals and the meaning that settles into them over time. The top pieces stay grounded in ordinary acts and repeated routines, letting winter shape the work through pace, attention, and restraint.

FPS: The Last Flame Challenge Winners
Welcome to our first Winners Announcement of the year and to the final challenge in the Fall Poetry Series. The Last Flame invited writers to sit with endings, using fire as a central image to consider what remains when something burns out: ash, warmth, memory, silence, or the faint promise of what comes next. The strongest pieces treated endings as gradual rather than sudden, allowing them to flicker, dim, and linger.

FPS: Villanelle of Regret Challenge Winners
Some feelings don’t fade. They repeat. The Villanelle of Regret challenged poets to write into that return. To let regret, longing, and obsession build with each pass, rather than resolve. The strongest entries trusted repetition to carry the weight.
