Prologue
In a world where control has always been the unspoken goal, two powers—Christianity and Islam—stand as the dominating forces. The structures and practices within each seem time-honored and deeply rooted in culture, language, and reverence. But what if, beyond the symbols, rites, and rituals, there lay an organized framework created to manipulate rather than inspire? And what if those frameworks were not created by divine intention, but rather as tools to keep humanity in line?
Chapter 1: The Origin of Control
Centuries ago, as civilizations formed, rulers and sages looked for ways to unite people under one common belief. They saw the potential of belief to drive men to die for causes, endure hardship, and be loyal without question. But uniting an entire people under one king or one leader was often impossible. The differences in language, culture, and thought were too deep. However, if one could unify them under the idea of an all-seeing deity, then control could extend beyond land and into the minds of the masses.
And so, religions were born—not from divine beings, but from councils, secret gatherings, and whispers of powerful figures. These architects, unseen but all-knowing, crafted texts, symbols, and dogmas, spinning a story so powerful that no common man would dare question it.
Chapter 2: The Two Great Pillars
These shadowed groups created two major structures: Christianity and Islam. Both were carefully crafted to appeal to the deepest human need for purpose and the fear of an unknown afterlife. They were given similar foundational texts and rituals to maintain the idea of an unchanging truth. Over centuries, through crusades, jihads, and countless battles, the masses were taught to be divided, ensuring they would never question the origins of their own faiths.
Each religion had its prophets, its holy lands, and its promises of paradise or threats of damnation. The faithful were discouraged from questioning and encouraged to submit. The divisions between them were made painfully visible, ensuring people would feel connected to one and alienated by the other. The tools of division—language, tradition, and doctrine—were woven so seamlessly that no one saw the strings being pulled from above.
Chapter 3: The Machinery of Belief
Language became a weapon. Every culture had a name for the Almighty, unique and yet universal, ensuring everyone felt personally connected to a higher power. Rituals kept people disciplined, practices kept them busy, and fear kept them obedient. Believers saw everything outside their beliefs as dangerous and sacrilegious, allowing the architects to maintain their power unchallenged.
Religion was thus the ultimate tool for societal order, turning the faithful into prey—easily divided and subjugated, never knowing the bars of their spiritual cages. These institutions became self-sustaining, generating leaders, preachers, and warriors who could continue the message without knowing its origin.
Chapter 4: The Awakened Few
Over the ages, a few began to question. They saw patterns, recognized similarities, and noticed the machinery behind the holy texts. The architects had long since gone, but their design remained intact. For the first time, people began to wonder if perhaps they had been part of something much larger, something designed to keep them blind to their own potential. They shared these doubts in whispers, writing texts that questioned, challenging the idea that obedience was the path to enlightenment.
Epilogue: Breaking the Chains
In the end, The Prey Divided is a story of awakening. Those who dare to look beyond the prescribed paths can find freedom, discovering their own beliefs beyond doctrine. But the question remains: can humanity free itself from systems built on the foundations of control, and can they reunite under a banner of shared humanity? Or will they forever remain divided, prey to their ancient chains?
