Long ago, in a peaceful village surrounded by green fields and tall trees, two tiny seeds lay side by side under the soil. It was spring, and the sun was shining warmly. The air was fresh, and the ground was soft and full of life.
One seed was hopeful and brave. It said to itself,
“I want to grow! I want to push my roots deep into the earth. I want to feel the sun on my leaves. I want to see the world and give shade to birds. I may face danger, but I believe I can become a strong tree.”
So, the hopeful seed began to move. Slowly, it sent small roots down into the soil and tiny shoots upward. It worked hard every day. Even when heavy rains came or cold winds blew, the seed did not stop. It wanted to grow, no matter what.
The second seed was afraid. It said to itself,
“I’m not ready to grow. What if my roots get hurt in the hard ground? What if the sun burns my leaves? What if a bird eats me? It’s safer to stay underground. Maybe one day, when everything is perfect, I’ll grow.”
So, the afraid seed stayed still. It refused to open. It refused to try.
Days passed. Then weeks. Then months.
The brave seed became a small plant. It enjoyed the sunlight and drank the rain. Birds came and sat on its leaves. Children smiled when they saw it. Day by day, it grew taller and stronger.
One day, a farmer came to the field. He was digging the soil to plant vegetables. While digging, he found the second seed. It was still there, lying in the ground — untouched, unchanged, and lifeless.
The farmer picked it up and said,
“Oh, poor seed. You had the chance to grow, but you wasted it. The world outside is not perfect, but it’s full of possibilities. If you wait too long, your chance will pass.”
Then he threw the seed away.Meanwhile, the brave seed had now become a young tree. It had strong roots and green leaves. It was not afraid anymore because it had learned that growth comes with risk, but also with reward.
Moral of the Story:
Life is like a seed.
If you wait for the perfect time, you may never grow.
Don’t be afraid of failure, pain, or challenge.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.
Bravery leads to growth. Fear leads to regret.
