Lydia Vale, a brilliant marine biologist, spent her life uncovering the mysteries of the ocean. Her fixation led her to a remote, uncharted trench where she discovered a pulsating, bioluminescent algae, glowing with a sinister beauty. The experiment was conducted in an isolated lab, ignoring safety protocols that was placed not just for her but for everyone. Lydia was engulfed in blinding, churning light after an unexpected underwater earthquake caused a catastrophic spill.

When she emerged, Lydia was irrevocably changed. Her body now radiated with a chilling bioluminescence, and she could bend water to her will. Adopting the name " Storm Waver," she discovered she had the power to summon storms, control tides, and manipulate marine creatures.

Obsessed with her newfound abilities, Lydia’s mind fractured. Her once-curious fascination had twisted into a psychotic mania and dangerous obsession. Believing herself to be the ocean’s chosen savior, she embarked on a relentless crusade… against humanity’s transgressions. Coastal cities suffered devastating storms and floods, and vessels were sunk under her vengeful wrath.

But as her power grew, so did her paranoia. She became convinced that someone or something was trying to steal her precious algae, the source of her power, the only true thing she cared about. Her increasingly erratic behavior led her to lash out indiscriminately, creating chaos and destruction wherever she went.

In a fit of paranoia, prepared to unleash her most destructive storm yet, one that could obliterate an entire coastal metropolis. Just as she was about to release the storm, an unknown figure approached her from the shadows of the sea. This mysterious intruder, cloaked in dark, shimmering water, she couldn't recognise this figure but she seemed to recognise the device it held all too well, glowing with a familiar bioluminescence.

With her grip tightening on the storm’s controls and her eyes wide with both rage and fear, Storm Waver demanded, "Who dares challenge me? The one chosen by the sea" The figure’s response was a chilling promise: "You’re not the only one with secrets from the deep."
