In a small, remote village surrounded by thick forests, lived a young man named Jaka. His family lived humbly his father, Pak Rahman, was a farmer, and his mother, Bu Sari, weaved baskets and cloth to help make ends meet. Though they always had enough to get by, Jaka knew deep down that his family deserved more than just a life of struggle. He wanted to give them a future without worry, where food was never scarce, and happiness was constant.
One night, as Jaka walked home from the fields, he noticed a strange light glowing from deep within the forest. The light was unlike anything he had seen before. It wasn’t the moon, nor any lanterns—it shimmered with a soft, magical glow. Without hesitation, Jaka followed the light, his curiosity outweighing his caution. After a short while, he found himself standing before a large stone, glowing with ancient carvings that seemed to call out to him.
"Jaka, you have been chosen," a soft voice echoed through the air. "If you wish to change your family's fate, step into the world beyond."
Jaka felt a mix of surprise and intrigue. Though he didn’t fully understand, he sensed that this was his opportunity to help his family. Without another thought, he stepped onto the stone, and in an instant, he felt as though the ground beneath him had vanished.
When Jaka opened his eyes again, he was no longer in the familiar forest. Instead, he stood in a strange world—one where the sky was purple, clouds swirled in slow motion, and the landscape was unlike anything he had ever seen. In front of him stood an old woman, cloaked in shimmering robes.
“Welcome to the Realm of Time, Jaka,” she said, her voice calm yet powerful. “I am the Guardian of Fate. Here, you will find the power to help your family. But first, you must pass a test.”
The old woman handed him a glowing staff and pointed toward a dark forest in the distance. "In that forest lies the Fruit of Fortune. Only those with a pure heart may find it. If you succeed, you will gain the power to change the destiny of those you love."
Jaka hesitated for a moment, but the thought of his family, struggling back home, pushed him forward. He entered the forest, relying on his instincts and courage to guide him. The forest was dark and filled with strange sounds, but Jaka pressed on, determined. After hours of searching, he finally found the glowing fruit, hanging from a tall tree, its light bright against the shadows.
With steady hands, Jaka plucked the fruit and returned to the old woman.
"Well done, Jaka," she said, a smile spreading across her face. "You have passed the first trial. This fruit will grant you the power to bring wealth and fortune to your family. Use it wisely."
With deep gratitude, Jaka thanked the Guardian and returned to his village. Upon his arrival, he was amazed to see that his fields, which had once been dry and barren, were now lush and abundant. The villagers spoke in awe of the sudden prosperity, and Jaka’s family never had to worry again.
Though his life had changed forever, Jaka never forgot the mystical world he had visited. But more than anything, he cherished the simple, fulfilling life he had always dreamed of for his family. And as he stood at the edge of the village, looking toward the distant forest, he knew that no matter where his journey took him, the most important thing would always be the people he loved.
