Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan
Capital of Pakistan

Capital of Pakistan :
Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, is located in the northern part of the country, within the federal territory known as the Islamabad Capital Territory. Established in the 1960s, Islamabad was designed to replace Karachi as the capital, primarily due to its central location, better security, and potential for development. Its planning was meticulously carried out by the Greek architect and town planner, Constantinos Apostolou Doxiadis, who envisioned a city with organized sectors, green spaces, and wide boulevards.
Islamabad is known for its modern infrastructure, lush greenery, and scenic surroundings. It sits at the foothills of the Margalla Hills, a part of the Himalayan range, providing a picturesque backdrop to the city. The city is also home to important government institutions, including the Parliament of Pakistan, the President’s House, and the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. Additionally, Islamabad is a hub for international diplomacy, hosting embassies and missions from around the world.
Islamabad’s relatively calm environment and high standard of living make it one of the most developed cities in Pakistan. The city's Faisal Mosque, one of the largest in the world, is a major architectural landmark, symbolizing the blend of modernity and tradition that defines Islamabad.
