An Anstronaut's Guide to Life on Earth by Chris Hadfield

Short Introduction

First of all I came with a big announcement. We've reached 150 subscribers in the last few days.

I don't even know what to say, this is just incredible, more like a dream than reality! It's crazy to even think about that so many of you are interested in my work, because sometimes, when I'm scrolling on Vocal and reading from other creators, I go like "Damn, I'm not even close to this level. Maybe I don't even have that much talent in writing". But then I look at the numbers and I just can't believe that you're all here for real encouraging me to write and publish... I wanna thank all of you for your endless support, I know I always say that, but it really means a lot, and what is a writer worth without the right audience? I've came a long way, and there's still a lot more to go, but one thing is for sure: I wouldn't be here now without your help, so thank you!

So I've done some content here titled such as "Inspiring creators" or "Poem of the day", and now I've decided to continue and take this a bit more seriously.

What did the idea came from? I don't know exactly... I just went through my dashboard the other day and noticed, that one of this "series" has quite a lot read (comparing to my work).

And then I was like "There are so many amazing books out there, and I've read a lot too, so why not recommend them for others to share the experience and joy?".

My goal

I'm not going for money. As a teenage writer Vocal has been an excellent side hustle beside studying (moreover it even helped me improve my English skills) and I don't need more money than what I earn here day by day. The goal of my little mission is to share other authors' work to help them get the audience they need and make their work popular.

Here are the previous parts if you're interested:

Since I'm a writer too, I know how wonderful it feels to get feedback, support from people, who like and appreciate your work, whether you're a content creator, a blogger, or a writer with an online website or a published book. I think we all have that in common. So I would like to share some incredible bestsellers, I've read from famous authors, and draw some attention to less known, talented poets and writers as well, because we all deserve to get our work read.

But let's not waste any more time, and get to the point.

The book of this day

Today's pick was random. I chose it, because I got my eyes on the mesmerising cover of the book, and the title also got my attention. Furthermore I find this book interesting, because the author, Chris Hadfield is an astronaut (and colonel), who talks about his own experience and thoughts on going to the space and the lessons, it thaught him. Chris retired from the Canadian Armed Forces as a colonel in 2003 (completing 25 years of military service), and 10 years later he published his first book.

And this book is the following: An Astronaut's Guide to the Life on Earth.

Chris Hadfield, the author

According to the describtion this man spent almost 4000 hours in the space, which is about 167 days if we convert the numbers. Now I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm truly amazed by how many dangerous situations he had to face and survive during his expeditions. He even flew a plane with a snake in it!

Hadfield takes the reader to a completely different world. He shares us how he managed to become a space-traveller with years of hard work and training, and shows the beauty of his job. Chris also encourage us to fight for our own goals, and not care about others' opinion. His book is definitely the best combination of a dreamer's journey, who reached his dream job and a guide motivating us to become who we want to be.

What do you this of this book? Is it on your reading list? If it caught your attention, you can buy and read the e-book for $13.99 HERE or listen to the audible verson for free HERE.

If you're more like a reader than a listener, then you can buy the paperback book with 47% off for only $9.63 HERE. Or you can also order the hardcover with 48% off for a total of $15 HERE.
