Indonesian Author, Natasha Rizky Successfully Held Book Exhibition in Japan
Her best-selling book 'Kamu Tidak Istimewa' translated into three languages.

Indonesian actress, presenter and model, Natasha Rizky Pradita, successfully held an exhibition of her best-selling book entitled 'Kamu Tidak Istimewa', or 'You are not Special' in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday (16/11/2024).
Located at Kalyan Coffee Cafe in Shibuya City, Tokyo, the exhibition titled 'Art and Poetry Exhibition' took place from November 14 to November 20, 2024. The poems from her book 'Kamu Tidak Istimewa' were displayed in three languages; Indonesian, Japanese and English versions.
Based on information from Elex Media as the publisher of this book, before being launched in Japan, Natasha Rizky's book 'Kamu Tidak Istimewa' has become a national best seller in Indonesia. More than 10,000 copies of the book have been sold until mid-November 2024.


For this exhibition, Natasha has collaborated with Indonesian artist Bernhard Suryaningrat, also known as @hardthirteen, and design modification studio Never Too Lavish or NTL for short.
Previously, NTL designers have been known to collaborate with various local and international brands. For example, Ventela, Alva, KFC, and others. Therefore, on this occasion, they released collaboration products entitled 'Kamu Tidak Istimewa x NeverTooLavish' that can be found at Kafe Kopi Kalyan; ranging from coffee cups, tote bags, bookmarks, paintings and other visual artworks.



The exhibition was sponsored by MS Glow, Elex Media and Diksi Aca. Natasha is widely known as the brand ambassador of MS Glow; a facial and skin care products in Indonesia, Elex Media as the book publisher, and Diksi Aca; a literacy community founded by Natasha herself. It should be noted that the name 'Aca' is a familiar greeting from the name of this 1993-born actress.


Through her Instagram account, Natasha invited; especially Indonesian citizens in Japan to visit her exhibition. According to her post, this exhibition was the right moment to rediscover stories, which remind us of home, as well as a place to show that Indonesian writers can also exist internationally.
Natasha also thanked all the attendees and organizers, including representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo (KBRI Tokyo) for supporting the event. In addition, she also revealed a little story in the caption of her Instagram upload dated back to October 18, 2024 entitled 'Dari Obrolan Seru Hingga ke TOKYO yang Penuh Makna (From Fun Chat to Meaningful TOKYO)', where Natasha wrote that this exhibition trip was like a dream.
"At first, it was just a casual conversation, a small dream that seemed far away. But who would have thought, with an undying passion, step by step it became a reality."

In addition to expressing her gratitude and praise to the artists who had helped make her work not just sentences, but living words, Natasha also stated that the culminating moment, the live painting; which it was not only beautiful, but also very emotional.
"Behind all this, there is a great team that is tireless, supporting each other, trusting each other. This is a collective journey, a proof that with sincere support, dreams can come true with the permission of Allah Ta'ala. Thank you to all the support systems that make this exhibition so alive. You guys are amazing!"
