Fantasy Books Which You Can't Miss
Fantasy books take us to magical worlds where everything is possible and the adventures never end. These stories help us escape from everyday life as they tell us about heroes, wizards and wonderful creatures.
Books are windows through which we can learn about new worlds, cultures and lives. Each book is a journey that takes us beyond the limits of imagination, enriching our mind and soul.
The first fantasy series I'm going to tell you about is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. You've probably already come across this book through social media, you just haven't picked it up. If you have read it, I am very glad that you were able to experience the written world, because it describes a wonderful story.
It is a multi-part series, with a total of five parts published now:
- A Court of Thorns and Roses - 2015
- A Court of Mist and Fury - 2016
- A Court of Wings and Ruin - 2017
- A Court of Frost and Starlight - 2018
- A Court of Silver Flames - 2021
In addition to these, Sarah J. Maas plans to publish additional books related to the series, which will further expand this magical world.
In the link I pasted, you can also read a few pages if you are not sure if it is for you. The story in a nutshell:
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he's not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.
The second book I'm introducing is The Empyrean Series by Rebecca Yarros This book has been popular since its publication, and for good reason. It is possible that you have already come across this book somewhere, if not, you will now know about its existence. Personally, I devoured the book and will continue to do so with the rest, I was so captivated by the story.
So far, two parts of the series have been published, the third part will be released soon, and the author plans to publish more parts, continuing the wonderful story.
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general―also known as her tough-as-talons mother―has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter―like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom's protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda―because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.
As we travel through the pages of fantasy books, we not only get to know new worlds and magical adventures, but we also find ourselves. With the help of these stories, we can escape from the grip of everyday life at any time and immerse ourselves in the realm of miracles. Thank you for being on this awesome journey with me. Remember, real adventures never end - they're only a new book away.
