Christmas Spirit!
5 magical books for your festive TBR.

The most wonderful time of the year has arrived, so it is time to make a TBR list to cozy up with a good book.
Here's my top festive books. Some of them are very Christmassy, some just slightly connected and others are simply magical.
1. "A Winter in New York" by Josie Silver.

We all know the beautiful romantic Christmas movies that are set in New York. So, in Elsie Silver's story we will capture this nostalgic feeling in the Big Apple with a captivating story of two families and generations long secrets that might as well give a wonderful romantic story to us, the readers.
Gio is a chef in a family owned cafe in New York, trying to recreate a lost receipt of his family's gelato. The desert is practically the base of Gio's family business and he has the last chance to save the cafe.
Iris is running from a broken heart to… New York. The New York from all of the movies she loved to watch with her mom.
Surrounded by the romantic city she finds her way to the little cafe where she meets Gio and finds out that this place is in danger of closing and Gio desperately needs to recreate their famous gelato. After testing the dessert Iris seems to understand that this gelato (the secret recipe) and her mother's gelato are the same, so she agrees to help Gio to solve the problem though she doesn't tell how she knows the exact ingredients needed.
During this experiment, Iris is falling in love with Gio and his family, though the secret of those two families is about to be revealed.
2. "The Christmas Tree Farm" by Laurie Gilmore.

Truth be told, this is one of the most atmospheric Christmassy/snowy winter-ish books I've ever laid my hands on.
A snowy rom-com set in a small town with the reverse grumpy-sunshine subplot.
Kira North is coming to Dream Harbor to start a new life. Buying a Christmas tree farm seemed a good idea even though she hates Christmas.
Bennet Ellis, funny and generous guy, came for a vacation in town but (plot twist!) got snowed in on Kira's Christmas tree farm. Well, the best surprises come in the most unexpected places and conditions.
3. "A Copenhagen Snowmance" by Pernille Hughes.

A very immerse book of a Danish Christmas. You’ll literally feel the festive spirit of the town, taste æbleskiver and gløgg, and fall in love under Tivoli Christmas lights.
For Anna coming back to Copenhagen, her home town, is a torture and to get snowed in is the worst possible situation she could find herself in. On top of that, Anna has literally nowhere to stay and the only solution seems to be to come to her old house which she is renting out. Luckily, her tenant Jamie, a handsome and funny Scot, suggests staying with him as long as Anna needs.
Together they make a journey from being completely broken inside to healing, to becoming friends and, finally, falling in love with each other and their new reality.
A beautiful tale of love, friendship, forgiveness and new beginnings.
P.S. Expect fake – dating subplot as well.
4. “Good spirits” by B.K. Borison.

A “Christmas Carol” inspired romance! That was the only thing I knew and, to be honest, I would suggest diving into this magical story as blind as possible.
In the beginning of December, Harriet was visited by the ghost of Christmas Past. But she is not really Scrooge.
As our couple travels into Harriet’s past they discover that the problem might be not her past but rather Nolan’s.
I hope I gave you inspiration to read this story. It is a truly beautiful book of kindness, love, choosing yourself and the life you want, friendship, destiny and Christmas spirit. Moreover, the ending was quite unexpected.
My favorite Christmas book, that’s for sure!
5. “Our Infinite Fates” by Laura Steven.

That’s anything but a Christmas book but when if not during December festivities to read about love that goes through centuries?
Evelyn and Arden loved each other in every new life they were leaving. They killed each other in each of their new lives.
This time they are determined to solve the problem and break a centuries old curse.
I personally adore the subplot “I’ll find you in our every new lifetime” and this was an amazing example of it.
Hope you'll enjoy these books! Feel free to leave a comment about your December TBR.
Happy December, dear readers.
