Bristol author's debut novel gains significant momentum
Nery McMahon's debut book 'The Immigrant Veronicas Story', published last year by Austin Macauley, has gained some real momentum as her true-crime, semi-autobiographical story catches the attention of the UK's media.

Her new novel has featured in two newspaper articles over recent weeks, one in the prestigious Bristol Post newspaper and the second in this month's edition of the Kingswood Voice. Links for the articles can be found below.
Nery's book is based on actual events that occurred in Bristol UK in 2003 and tells the troubling true story of Veronica, abused and mistreated at various stages of her life, including as a young child. As an adult, the violence she constantly suffered eventually led to a brutal double murder. It is semi-autobiographical and is accurately based on her own life experiences. It looks at the dark side of humanity, exploring sensitive and controversial themes but ultimately it's power emanates from her strength, resilience and courage as she fought for justice. It is a truly shocking and compelling story but at the same time, delivers hope for many similar victims that have no voice.
