ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kate was working for BBC Radio in London when she met her farming husband in 1993. As he couldn’t park his tractor outside Broadcasting House, she moved back to Suffolk. She wrote terrible holiday diorites as a child, which her husband regularly asks her to read out loud for their entertainment. She has since improved and written with intent since 2018. Maid of Steel is her second penned novel; the first is lining drawers in the vegetable rack at their farmhouse and will never see the light of day.
