In another life, the stars aligned
A little different, a gentler kind.
The roads we walked did not divide,
And time stood still with you beside.
In whispered dreams, I feel the trace
Of softer mornings, your warm embrace.
We laughed in rooms the sun would fill,
And every silence sang until
The world was just a breath, a glance—
A secret kept in happenstance.
No need for words, no space, no fear—
Just hearts that knew they needed near.
We planted gardens in the rain,
And danced through sorrow, joy, and pain.
Your voice, a lighthouse in the storm,
Your hands, the place that kept me warm.
But fate is wind and we are dust—
It scattered love, it shattered trust.
Yet still I dream when night is deep
Of promises the stars will keep.
So if the veil should ever shift,
And souls once lost begin to drift,
I’ll meet you where the shadows bend—
Another life. Another end.
