When fear is accepted, it becomes free; when fear is denied or condemned, it becomes sin!
Question: is fear the same as guilt?

OSHO:
Fear and guilt are different.
When fear is accepted!
It becomes freedom; when fear is denied or condemned, it becomes guilt.
The fear is there.
The smallness of man is like a drop in the ocean compared to the vastness of the whole; man is like a small drop of water, the whole is like the ocean, a shudder rises from within you. "maybe I will be lost in the whole, I will lose myself."
That's the fear of death.
All fear is the fear of death, and the fear of death is the fear of complete disappearance.
Fear is a natural phenomenon, and if you accept life as it is, if you accept it completely, your trembling will cease immediately, and fear will turn into freedom, for freedom is the same energy that became fear in the first place.
Then you understand that even when the drop of water is about to disappear into the ocean, it will feel scared, but in fact, it just becomes the whole ocean, and such death is nirvana, in which you are not afraid of losing yourself, and then you understand what Jesus said: "if you want to save your life, you will lose it; if you lose it, you will save your life."
The only way to transcend death is to accept death, and death disappears naturally; the only way to be fearless is to accept fear, so that energy can be released and become free.
If you criticize or try to suppress fear, if you cover up what you fear and try to arm yourself for self-defense, there is no guarantee that you will not feel guilty.
All that is repressed will cause guilt, everything that goes against nature will lead to guilt, you have been deceiving yourself, and dishonesty itself is the source of guilt.
You ask, "is fear the same as guilt?" it's different. Fear may or may not become guilt, depending on how you do it.
If you do something wrong, it becomes a sense of guilt, if you accept it and don't do anything for it, anyway, there is nothing to do, then you are free and you are no longer afraid of anything.
Don't say that you look ugly, or blame yourself for doing anything wrong, or that you are an eternal sinner; don't judge yourself, no matter what you are, that's who you are, and don't feel guilty about it.
Even if something goes wrong, "you" is not wrong, maybe you say or do something wrong, but there is nothing wrong with your nature because of that.
Your behavior may be wrong, but you are always right.
One of the things I noticed about myself was that I was always trying to convince others that I was an influential and important person, and when I meditated on it, the answer I got was fear.
The self is always fear-oriented, and a truly fearless person has no such thing as "self" for defense.
Because of your fear, you create the impression that "you are so-and-so" around you, so no one dares to bully you, whether it is basically fear.
Very good!
Once you find out what caused it, the rest will be easy.
Otherwise, most people only care about fighting with themselves, but the self is not the real problem, so doing is tantamount to dealing with the sign of the problem, rather than taking care of the real disease, the real disease is fear.
You keep fighting with yourself, and you don't know you're missing the point, because the self is not the real enemy, it's fake, even if you win over yourself, it's not a real victory, you can't win, because only the real enemy can be defeated, you can't defeat the fake enemy that doesn't exist, you just work on the surface, just like you have a wound, you make some decorations on it to cover it up, and you know it.
I remember once, I lived in the home of a movie star, and he invited many people to his house to see me.
Among the people who came was a female star who wore a dazzling watch with a big and beautiful strap.
A man sitting next to her asked about her watch, and there was an uneasy look on her face.
I just looked on and found that the man wanted to take a closer look at his watch. at first she didn't want to take it off and show it to him, but she couldn't help but keep asking, and at last she had to pull it out, and I knew what was going on.
There was a large white spot on her wrist, which was caused by leprosy. She covered it with that beautiful watch band, and now that spot was seen, she was so nervous that she was sweating.
Just like that, no one wants to let people see their own fear, because if you show fear, others will make you more afraid, once others smell your fear, they will hit you and humiliate you. Everyone is happy to see a person weaker than themselves, they will throw stones at you.
So people create a big self outside of fear and keep pumping air in their balloons until they get too big.
People like Hitler and Idi Amin in Uganda are so self-inflated that others are afraid of them.
Anyone who tries to make others afraid of him knows it in private. In fact, he is the one who is really afraid. Otherwise, why not? if he is not afraid, what is the reason for doing so?
