For our body to effectively regulate temperature , we need to stay hydrated . This is important because we lose a lot of fluid when we sweat . To know when you need to get hydrated, you will notice the dehydration symptoms like feeling thirsty , having a dry mouth , feeling tired . To becomed hydrated in this condition , you need to drink water , this should also be done regularly to stay hydrated . Drinking water regularly helps our bodies to function optimally .

Generally , you need to Carry a water bottle with you, set alarm reminders to drink at regular intervals, and avoid alcohol dehydration, which can be more prevalent in the heat.

CONSUME LIGHT AND HYDRATING FOODS

Consuming high water content foods or light meals will aloso help you to stay hydrated and also stop you from feeling too hot , heavy and full . Examples of high water content foods includes- Cucumber, watermelon , pineapple, strwaberries . You should also avoid hot and heavy foods because they increase heat production

STAY INDOORS IN HOT SEASON

Always stay indoors during hot days . Timing is everything as the sun is usually at its strongest between 10am and 4pm

EMPLOY COOLING TECHNIQUES
