National Sunscreen Day is celebrated every year on May 27th.

Moreover, everyone must understand the harm caused by UVA/UVB light. Whether you are headed to the beach, lounging by the pool, or spending time outdoors, it is essential that you apply sunscreen lotion or spray before spending time in the sun.

Because the sun and UV tanning beds are deadly, carcinomas and melanoma, we can be affected by them if we don’t use proper protection.

So, today is a day designated to learn the best ways to protect your skin.

Apply, Reapply, and Repeat

Although today is National Sunscreen Day, it is important to use the best products with an SPF of 30 or more all the time.

However, make sure the product you use has the words Broad Spectrum listed. Meanwhile, Broad Spectrum protects you against the harmful UVA/UVB ultraviolet rays.

When you are using sun lotion or spray, make sure you apply it all over your face and body. Also, make sure the lotion has absorbed into your skin.

Bullfrog Quick Gel Sunscreen SPF 50

With a broad spectrum, this sunscreen will protect you from the harmful UVA/UVB rays.

In addition, this product is Oxy-Benzone free and has an octinoxate-free formula.

Also, this product goes on clear. When you rub this lotion, it will give you a lightweight and non-greasy feel. But the key is to apply it 15 minutes before your skin is exposed to the sun and to reapply it every 90 minutes or more if you are sweating or swimming.

Sun Bum Original SPF 50

In my opinion, this is one of the best sunscreens available.

Not only will this moisturize your skin, but more importantly, it protects you from the dangerous UVA/UVB rays.

Additionally, this sunscreen is enriched with antioxidants and Vitamin E.

Apply 15 minutes before you head into the sun.

Reapply every 90 minutes or more if you are sweating, using your towel excessively, or have been in the water.

Repeat!

La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 100

Though this sunscreen is a little more expensive than other brands, it is worth it. Moreover, it has some different features, such as a higher SPF.

Many Dermatologists highly recommend this sunscreen lotion.

This lotion has broad-spectrum protection and has a tropical leaf extract that helps fight skin-damaging radicals caused by the sun, which can accelerate your skin’s aging.

In addition, you may want to look for a cool, comfortable spot in the shade. However, even if you find a shady spot, make sure you still use sunscreen products on your skin.
